Active listening skills help us to improve meetings, follow instructions, resolve difficult situations, manage projects, and communicate with more clarity and connection. Improving these skills will help you in your current postdoc position and throughout your career. Of all the dimensions of communication, listening is perhaps the most elusive and one of the most important. Attend this morning workshop to gain an understanding of active listening and its components, practice specific active listening tools, and create your own plan for further development of this skill.

Note: This class is not intended to improve skills in listening to English as a foreign language or listening to technical presentations.
