The MIT Postdoctoral Association (PDA) is a postdoc-led organization that supports and builds community for over 1500 postdoctoral scholars at MIT. All MIT-appointed postdocs are automatically members of the PDA. The PDA leadership team welcomes postdocs at monthly meetings and regular social and professional development events.
The Office of the Vice President for Research has oversight of the PDA. The executive leadership of the PDA meets monthly with the vice president for research to discuss topics of interest to the postdoc community. Additionally, the director of Postdoctoral Services provides guidance to the PDA officers.
