Looking for a postdoctoral position?

Postdoc positions are usually posted on the MIT HR staffing website. Additional information may be found on websites of specific MIT departments, laboratories, centers, and faculty members.

Most individuals who are interested in a postdoctoral position at MIT search the MIT web site to identify faculty members and research groups in a relevant field or area. MIT’s research activities take place within the academic departments and laboratories, centers and institutes that reside within the five schools (School of Engineering, School of Science, Sloan School of Management, School of Architecture and Planning, and School of Humanities, Arts, & Social Sciences), in areas reporting to the Vice President for Research, and in units reporting to the Provost.

Once a potential faculty mentor is identified, it is common to communicate directly with him or her regarding the possibility of a position.

MIT offers a dynamic and supportive environment for postdocs. To learn more, please explore our website (including the Postdoctoral Position page) and the MIT Postdoc Association site.
