Postdoc Appreciation Week Events

Each September, MIT celebrates National Postdoc Appreciation Week. Many departments, labs, and centers host events in their areas. The Vice President for Research co-hosts, with the Deans of the School of Engineering and School of Science, an invitation-only appreciation luncheon for all resident postdocs and faculty members. Typically, over 400 postdocs and faculty members enjoy animated conversations, a barbecue lunch, and a jazz trio. Beginning in 2022, the Excellence in Postdoctoral Mentoring Award is also presented during the luncheon.

If you are an MIT postdoc or faculty member, you will receive an invitation to the next luncheon. Vice President for Research Maria Zuber and the incoming MIT Postdoctoral Association President will provide welcome remarks, and PDA officers will circulate to answer questions and encourage participation in committees.
